Polychronidou Persefoni

Persefoni Polychronidou is an Associate Professor at the International Hellenic University, Department of Economics Sciences. She is the Chair of the Department and the Director of the Economic-Financial Studies and Research Laboratory. She holds a PhD from the Department of Informatics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a MA in Banking, Accounting and Finance (Hellenic Open University and University of Nicosia) and a Bachelor on Mathematics (University of Patra).
Since 2003 she participates in various research projects. She has teaching experience in bachelor and master programs in the country and abroad in the field of Quantitative Methods. Specifically, she teaches Operational Research, Econometrics, Applied Econometrics, Mathematics for Economists, Statistics I, Statistics II, Quantitative Methods, and Research Methodology.
Her research interests focus on the quantitative processing and analysis of economic and financial data. She is co-editor of the International Journal of Business and Economic Sciences Applied Research and co-president of the annual international scientific conference ‘Economies of the Balkan and Eastern European Countries’. She has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals or conference proceedings, she is a co-editor of more than 40 international books and periodical issues and she has participated in more than 70 international scientific conferences.
